What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
The thing I enjoy most about the role is being able to meet people and build relationships with individuals from all walks of life. In e-commerce, it's really interesting.
I've met with people like a mom who was selling beads out of her basement and making thousands of dollars every month. She started her e-commerce store herself. I've also worked with CEOs or COOs of larger companies with tens or hundreds of employees.
It's been super interesting to build those relationships and understand why people are in e-commerce, since it's a relatively new industry. I've been liking that a lot.
The other aspect of my role, especially as a sales rep, is the freedom over my schedule. Sales can be a double-edged sword. When you're doing well, you have a lot of freedom. My company doesn't micromanage your time off or when you leave work, as long as you're hitting your numbers.
However, if you're not performing well, you might experience more micromanagement. Luckily, I've done pretty well so far. Having the freedom to live my life is what I love most about this job.
