How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
Healthcare, like many different specialties within it, can fit almost anyone. It just depends on you as a person.
There are areas of medicine where you don't have to interact with people at all. There are areas where you interact minimally.
There are areas where you follow people longitudinally over many years, even for the rest of their lives. And then there are areas that are just kind of, I don't want to say a revolving door, but you see people, you help them get better, and then hopefully you've managed them to the point that they don't need your services in the future.
I think this industry can tailor to a huge variety of people. One of the main things is just ensuring you're going into it for the right reason. At the same time, know that you're going to get a lot more out of it than what you're putting in, because you're really helping people and they're trusting you with that.
