What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As a Lead DX researcher, I'm responsible to lead and facilitate effective communication across teams and stakeholders. I have many conversations with stakeholders every day to understand the problems and questions they're trying to solve.
I then translate those into a research plan, picking the most effective method to gather information and data from users. I consolidate and analyze that data, aggregating it into actionable insights.
Finally, I go back to those stakeholders to ensure these insights are implemented in the product and design roadmaps. I'm also a big advocate for user-centered design based on research insights.
I guide and mentor junior researchers and designers, influencing design decision-making. I also help establish and optimize research operations, including tools, team structure, and communication patterns with stakeholders.
Additionally, I establish best practices in our department and share knowledge across teams.
