What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

There are many things I really enjoy about construction and concrete in general. I think the biggest is just being a part of really tangible work; you get to see the results. My company built some of the biggest stadiums in Minneapolis and worked on large light rail projects.

Being able to see and experience the thing you're a part of in the real world, and knowing it's such an important part of that world, is really unique about this industry. I feel like the people are also really unique.

There are many people who are lifers in the industry and have been around for a long time. They know the ins and outs of their product or industry so well, and you can learn so much just from being around them for a short amount of time.

Lastly, this industry stretches everywhere. You can find jobs and work on projects anywhere. It's such an important, ingrained part of society too, so you really feel like you're making a difference and an impact in small ways.
