Q7: Favorite parts - industry
What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
In general, I've always been very interested in finance and banking. My undergraduate major was in economics and mathematics, and I really enjoyed it. Economics and banking are such huge industries that drive the economy, and it's very fascinating to learn about the different things a bank does.
I don't think I would ever know everything they do, but it's always an exciting opportunity to learn. Particularly for me, being on the technology side of the finance industry is interesting. I'm not on the front lines dealing with clients; I'm on the back end, dealing with data and leveraging different technologies and tools to solve problems.
To me, it's really fascinating that I get to be on the other side of banking and still get to apply my skills.
