Q11: Significant lesson - career
What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career? I would say on a personal or professional level, one of the greatest lessons I've learned is to be kind to myself and to be kind to others.
For most of us, work is a huge part of our life. Most of us start working around our mid-twenties all the way until we retire, so it does span a huge chunk of our life.
Even if you just do your nine-to-five job, you deal with people all the time, and you will make mistakes. That's how you learn. When I was younger, I wish I had been kinder to myself.
Being kind to yourself will help you see the world around differently. And when you're kind to other people, it makes a difference, both personally and professionally.
