Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?

I started my career in asset management many years ago. My background is in economic mathematics from my undergraduate studies, and then I did accounting for a little bit.

While I was doing accounting, I discovered the data analytics field, and that's what really got me interested. I applied to Carey to do their business analytics program.

From there, I launched into the next decade of my career as a business intelligence developer. I did a lot of data analytics and data visualization and was a Tableau developer. I even had my professional certification for a couple of years and did that full-time.

When I joined my current job at this bank, I've been here for five years now. My primary role when I first started was in business intelligence and data analytics. In the last two or three years, I've been in data governance, as a data steward.

I kind of found my way into this role, starting from accounting and analytics and moving into this field. This field involves applying the basic skills you learned in analytics to the field of governance.
