Transcript

What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?

In consultancy and any firm, if you're coming straight from undergrad, you'll probably come in as an analyst. As an analyst, you're able to learn from your bosses, who are either senior analysts, consultants, or managers.

You'll learn how they interact with clients and how they organize themselves. You'll be in more of a support role. As you advance through your career, you'll be given more autonomy and responsibility.

When you come right out of undergrad, it's key to find good people to take leadership and advice from, and to model that as you advance your career. It's also important to add your own style.

When coming out of undergrad, you'll likely be an analyst, and your schedule will be dictated to a certain extent. As you continue to excel, you'll be given more autonomy and room to schedule your day and figure out how to interact with clients yourself.
