What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
My company's specific industry is certification, which is very niche. Generally, I consider us in the social impact space. What I enjoy most about working in social impact is collaborating, working with, meeting, and talking to people who care about making the world a more equitable place.
I also enjoy interacting with people who generally care about having a positive impact on the world, whether that's environmentally, socially, or otherwise. Having shared values with people about equality is important. It's about viewing business as more than just a way to make a profit; it's about how our impact affects people and the planet. I love being surrounded by people who share that outlook on business.
What I enjoy most about being in the niche industry of certification, specifically because we're a B2B company, is the opportunity to talk to and work with many other founders and business operators from all types of industries. I get to learn about and get a peek into how all these industries operate, what their challenges and goals are, and what success looks like for them. It's been really fun to learn from all these other founders across various industries.
