Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college?
Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
I started working in college in a paralegal setting. I had internships at entertainment law firms throughout college.
After college, I worked for Sony PlayStation as a paralegal because I thought I wanted to be a lawyer. At the time, I received the best advice: if you really don't want to be in law, consider other options. The tech boom was increasing, so I knew it was time to get into the tech industry.
From there, I took a job as a business development associate at Glassdoor, which was my first foray into tech. I got into marketing at Glassdoor when we were starting an engagement marketing team focused on consumer marketing and user engagement with our platform, largely through email.
I realized I wanted to do more than just email and explore broader marketing strategies. I then moved into product marketing and worked at different growth tech companies like Credit Karma, Slack, and Airtable. This led me to my current role, where I lead product marketing for our wireless and Meraki IoT product teams at Cisco.
