How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

I think the legal industry as a whole, it's important to just believe in yourself. Everybody is going to have imposter syndrome, perhaps more so than others depending on your background.

But I think remaining confident, while also knowing that you're never going to know everything, is key. The beauty of it is that you get to learn and you get to ask questions. The more curious you are, the better it is for you.

Honestly, I think I've grown so much within this field simply because of my curiosity. Everywhere I've gone throughout my career, whether it's my previous firm or here, I've always moved up because of my curiosity, my tenacity, and the effort I put in.

Obviously, never let certain attitudes or energies conflict with your own personal goals. So again, just ride the waves and stay true to yourself. Don't let other people's projections of your work ethic mitigate your own efforts.

You should always value and know that you're doing the work. So, as I said, just remain confident. Even when you mess up, it's a learning experience.

It's all about perspective. I wouldn't say positive, because that can lead into harsh positivism, which I don't think is good either. But the reality is that you're growing, and you're going to grow within wherever you go and anything you do in life.
