What do you enjoy most about being in your role?
The people I get to meet, and not just that, I have to think differently every single time. I have to be creative in so many different ways. Being an entrepreneur has taught me so much about the world and the economy that I wouldn't have otherwise thought about. It's insane.
I never really thought of myself as a numbers person, or somebody good at math. That's part of the reason why I got a comm degree, because I was terrified of anything analytical. I didn't want to go into STEM, but ironically, I work in a STEM field now.
I think that's something else for people who may find themselves thinking, "I want a liberal arts degree, but I feel intimidated because I'm unsure if it will hold value in a very digital and math-facing world." Yes, it does. Especially in tech, I think it's very easy to break into tech with a liberal arts degree.
You just have to know and understand how to utilize your skillset. I think my favorite part of what I've been doing is being able to see the different ways I've used my skillsets to get into different rooms, get the results I want, and constantly apply this growth mindset to, "Okay, let's see what happens today."
