What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My current role involves accounting and finance law at a particular manufacturing site. We have almost 600 people on our campus, and we manufacture Air Products. My primary roles and responsibilities have to do with ensuring we have proper accounting controls.
We are currently in the process of becoming SOX compliant with financial reporting standards, which has been interesting. It's important throughout the change, and of course, these things affect the rest of the functions at my site. This includes the different controls environment and being able to communicate with them what the new ownership changes mean for my department and other functions.
