What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
What I love about my industry is that although I have an accounting foundation, I've seen technology change so much. It's gone from client-server applications and updating various computers with software to being a hundred percent cloud-based.
This means there are continuous technology updates based on what's best for my organization. In our industry, we work with large technology partners, and everything is online and always available.
The idea is that you can work anytime, anywhere. Most people entering the workforce today don't know any differently. But for me, who's been in the industry for a while, I recall having to install files and software on a computer, as opposed to just having everything work in the cloud.
