College Experiences That Helped a Business and Career Coach at Anti 9 to 5 Life Succeed
Shaina's undergraduate experience involved diverse activities, including sororities, internships, and creative projects; however, a key factor was the willingness to "quit when something didn't feel good," exemplified by turning down the Disney College Program to study abroad in Spain—a decision that influenced their passion for travel and current career. This approach aligns with their belief in "doing the best you can with the information you have at the time, and when you know better, you do better."

What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
I tried so many different things. I went through sorority rush and did different internships. I also got involved with creative projects.
The biggest thing was that I quit when something didn't feel good, which felt really difficult at the time. It was really hard. I remember in my junior year, I applied for the Disney College program and I got in.
I actually turned it down, even though I thought it was my biggest dream at the time. Once I got accepted, I realized I didn't actually think it was for me and that there were other things I wanted to spend my time on.
I ended up studying abroad in Spain instead. This probably influenced my current love for travel and where I've ended up.
One of my favorite pieces of advice came from a therapist: "You do the best you can with the information you have at the time, and when you know better, you do better." Being able to apply that to my life is the best you can really do. You have the information you have and you make choices from there.
