What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?

One realization I had is that I wish I had started earlier. When you are in college or even early in your career, there's this idea that you have to work for someone else for a few years to get experience before starting your own business.

I don't think that's actually true. I think the earlier you get started, the more experience you can gain working with smaller clients. That's a much better technique for development than working for someone else with a safety net.

I see agency owners who started in high school or college. The experience they gained from throwing themselves into it was much more advantageous than if they had worked for someone else.

So, I just wish I'd learned that earlier and started specifically within college instead of waiting.
