How would you describe people who typically thrive in the industry?
The first thing that comes to mind is overall resilience. There's always a lot of work, and product folks need to be resilient to continue pushing, no matter the outcome each time they're releasing.
When you get good feedback, you have to remember to keep moving and keep making things better. You want to celebrate, but you don't want to get complacent.
When you get bad feedback, you have to be able to bounce back and not take it personally. When you build something and are close to it, it's easy to say, "We missed that," or "That wasn't communicated properly."
So, to take it hard is challenging, but you have to be resilient. Be able to push through and remember that there will always be good and bad. Just stay even-keeled and always look to the next iteration and keep going.
