What Type Of Person Thrives In The Real Estate Industry According To A Realtor At Compass
Sean's biggest challenge as a Compass Realtor is the "ultra competitive" nature of the real estate profession, exacerbated by a limited inventory in the higher education market where Sean works, resulting in many agents competing for a "pretty small slice" of the market. The saturation of the market, with many people suggesting others pursue real estate licenses, only intensifies this struggle.

What is your biggest challenge as a real estate agent?
Being an independent contractor and running your own business is not easy, especially in a profession as oversaturated with real estate agents as this one. It's an ultra-competitive profession with tons of agents out there.
Everybody wants to be a real estate agent or thinks they can be one. I'm sure most people have had someone in their life suggest they get their real estate license.
In that capacity, it's really competitive. There are a lot of agents, primarily in my market, which is a higher-end market. There's not a lot of inventory.
So, there's a not that big of a pie and everybody's competing for a pretty small slice.
