Biggest Challenges Faced By A Realtor At Compass

Sean's biggest challenge as a Compass Realtor is the "ultra competitive" nature of the real estate profession, especially in Sean's higher education market with limited inventory, resulting in many agents competing for "a pretty small slice" of the market. This is further compounded by the perception that real estate is an easy career to enter, leading to an oversaturated market.

What is your biggest challenge as a real estate agent?

Being an independent contractor and running your own business isn't easy. It's especially challenging in a profession as oversaturated with real estate agents as this one.

It's an ultra-competitive profession with tons of agents out there. Everybody seems to want to be a real estate agent or thinks they can be. I'm sure at some point, everyone has had someone tell them they should get their real estate license.

In that capacity, it's just really competitive. There are a lot of agents, primarily in my market. It's a higher-end market with not a lot of inventory. So, it's not a big pie, and everyone is competing for a pretty small slice.
