What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
I think understanding more general business or audit concepts that I'm not necessarily familiar with is important. My background is more on the technology side, but we're doing audit-related work.
Sometimes there are concepts or words I might not understand because I don't have that audit background or knowledge. The biggest challenge is learning things outside of your technology space, like learning about the business in general.
It helps you guide your work and provide more meaningful results if you understand the bigger picture. Instead of just doing what you were told, you think about how it relates to the business as a whole and how it will help everything.
So, understanding the business and learning about audit methodology and concepts is one of the bigger challenges, especially if you're coming from a technology background.
