Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?

Sure. I started my career path at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio as an electrical engineer. I also added a minor in economics.

As part of that journey, in my third year, I decided to do a combined BS/MS in engineering. I stayed for an extra fifth year and got my master's in electrical engineering. My path at that time was heavily focused on the technical side.

I was doing my master's with Cleveland Clinic on medical treatment systems using robotics. From there, my career evolved into a path that went to Arizona, working for a series of telecommunications companies. Originally, I worked for Motorola, then another telecom startup.

I definitely got the startup bug at that point. While I was at that startup, I went back and did my MBA at Arizona State, at the WP Carey School. From there, I transitioned into the energy industry, working for yet another startup.

Then I started my company in 2015. So, I really had that entrepreneurial path, combining my technology background as an engineer with the financial ideas of being on the business side of the equation.
