I think the people who thrive in this industry, there is truly a role for everyone. For someone who may not be like me and comfortable in uncomfortable situations, talking to the world, there are other options.
Some of my coworkers have no interest in that. They prefer to stay in their office and analyze stats or work on issues that don't require them to be in the public eye or work with many different departments. And that's amazing.
The commonality that we all share is this passion for what we do. You really have to love what you do to be in this industry, no matter what.
The hours are long, the days are long. You wake up thinking it's February, but suddenly, it's September and the start of season. So, again, the commonality that we all share is that we truly love what we do; we're so passionate about it.
It's not just a job, but it's our life. It's something that we're really proud of. So, at the end of the day, no matter what we do or how we do it, we've all pursued exactly what we love.
It didn't just become our nine to five. If you're in this world, you have to love it, have passion, and be excited about it.
