Transcript

Our primary function in community relations is to create events and opportunities for our players to give back and truly uplift the community, particularly the Bay Area. We work with nonprofits, different community organizations, hospitals, and military branches across many cause areas to fulfill community needs and respond to what is needed most at that time.

We focus on everything from homelessness and social justice efforts to health and wellness, including mental health, cancer awareness, and supporting domestic violence survivors. We also encourage young students to read, engaging in all different kinds of cause areas.

I am one of four full-time staff, and we each split these cause areas so we can make a deep, sustainable impact and create long-lasting relationships with nonprofits. We serve as the conduit between players, the team, nonprofits, and the cause area side. Essentially, I'm an event planner for many of these initiatives.

My particular cause areas are primarily health and wellness. I manage all of our mental health awareness initiatives, Crucial Catch (the NFL's platform for cancer awareness), and a significant ALS platform for our team. I also plan hospital visits and Make-a-Wish experiences.

Additionally, I support underserved youth through various programs that connect them to the resources they need most. I also manage our 49ers Family program, which supports the significant others of our players, coaches, and football executives. Our aim is for them to feel like home here in the Bay Area, and I provide them with wrap-around services and resources.

Beyond cause area programming, we also manage our corporate citizenship program, which includes employee giving and community outreach events. Our ownership is also heavily involved in the community, and we work closely with them to execute their visions. Our main role is to create impactful and sustainable events and experiences for people to give back.

I also plan hospital visits and Make-a-Wish experiences. Additionally, I support underserved youth by developing programming that connects them with the resources they need most. I also manage our 49ers Family program, which provides support for the significant others of our players, coaches, and football executives.
