What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most about sports is that it's a unique platform to bring people together from all different walks of life. You can use it as a vehicle for change, and people who might never interact on a day-to-day basis come together.
They share a moment in a stadium or love their favorite team, and that creates a commonality for deeper conversations. They can also come together and create actual change in the community. I love that.
This job and this platform have combined two things I really love: helping people in the community and giving back, and sports. Growing up as an athlete my whole life, I was always around a team, that sense of competition, and invested in how we did and the people on the field.
Bringing those two things together to create this incredible platform for real change is amazing. Specifically to our team, it's important for me to work for an organization aligned with my values, and this team is exactly that. They are advocates for issues that aren't always commonly talked about.
I get to work for a team I'm really proud of, and I think that's what sports does too. You're proud of the brand or proud of the team you love. So, I love this job and I love being in it.
