What is the most challenging part of your job?

The most challenging part of my job is figuring out how to say no. You want to help so many people, and there is always something more we could all be doing, especially with the platform and organization we have.

We get a lot of asks and requests from people with incredible ideas, fans who have lost loved ones, kids in hospitals battling cancer, and nonprofits trying to help the community. I have a hard time saying no or not diving deeper into an issue.

I need to remember that sometimes the best, most sustainable impact is what we're already doing, or sometimes a lighter touch is what that moment needs. It doesn't need to be grand and big; it can be simple and sweet.

We never try to say no; we always try to find an alternative. If they're asking for one thing, but it's not the right fit, we'll find another way to uplift that community member, help that nonprofit, or create awareness for an issue.

Our biggest thing is not saying no but finding out what the other answer is. Remember, it doesn't take a five-month-long event to get something done; a light touch can sometimes be the best way to make an impact.
