Transcript

What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?

All these places have internships. Everywhere I've gone, they take undergraduate interns for summer programs. We always have interns, and it's always super fun.

I've found there are always opportunities at the state or department level. There's always something there. I also think there are many nine to twelve-month fellowships in the capital and Congress for California and all sorts of places.

I feel like that's where I got my start, like doing TFA after undergrad. But even during undergrad, if you were to do an internship there, they are available in the public sector. There are many public sector internships with departments or with the city of Seattle, for example. They take a cohort of interns every year and place them in different departments. I'm pretty sure there are many internship programs.
