What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?
The first thing that comes to mind is that it exists. I just had no idea in college what types of roles were out there. You hear of marketing and communications, but you have no idea what that means underneath.
It's just really crazy to find a role where I feel like it perfectly blends my degrees in communication and psychology, my minor in writing, and then to apply the things I learned, especially in the writing minor, to a job. I didn't know that was possible.
I wish I had more access to knowing what roles existed within the marketing and communications world in college. But don't let that stop you, because you can learn that through networking and mentorship.
