Could you walk me through your career path, including your experiences in college, any internships, or jobs you had before your current role?

I attended UC Santa Barbara, studying Communication and Psychology, with a minor in Writing and Professional Editing. I always knew I wanted a role in communications or marketing.

My first major internship was at Deckers Brands, a company that owns several shoe brands like Ugg, OluKai, and Teva. It's one of the biggest companies in Santa Barbara. I interned there my senior year and helped write their corporate social responsibility report.

It was really cool. I was doing writing and editing, but it also introduced me to corporate responsibility. I thought, "Wow, this is really cool, a company that has great values." That idea stuck with me throughout college.

After college, my first real job was at a creative agency, doing digital marketing, branding, and web development. I wore many hats and worked on numerous client projects. However, after about a year and a half, I felt the need to find a company with values I was truly aligned with.

I had my eye on Salesforce, a tech company in San Francisco known for helping communities while also being a business. I got lucky and saw a LinkedIn post from a friend from UCSB. Her team was hiring, I interviewed, and the rest is history. I've been at Salesforce ever since, for the last six years.
