What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

I've always known that I wanted to work with stories and books. Ever since I was little, my parents would take us to the library every summer for the reading challenges. It was all we ever did, so reading has always been a huge part of my life.

Now, being connected in the book world, knowing when new products are coming out and being excited to pre-order things, it's been really cool. I've met new people who encourage me to follow my own reading passions, even if it's not always personal growth books like we work on at my job.

I have coworkers who I'm friends with now on Goodreads. We're always sharing new stories we're reading. I might even be starting a podcast with a coworker about the books we're currently reading, something fun.

The friendships and community the book industry has provided me with is the coolest thing.
