What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

Similar to one of my previous answers, it's ever-changing and ever-evolving, especially with today's power system. The landscape is certainly evolving with some of our aggressive decarbonization goals.

A lot of traditional or conventional power generating facilities, plants that use gas or coal, are coming offline. They're being replaced with a lot of renewable energy resources, such as solar and wind generating facilities.

From a non-engineering perspective, that may seem like the right thing to do. But there are many electrical and physical characteristics of conventional and traditional generating facilities that help support the type of power system that you and I are familiar with.

It's certainly challenging in that way, as we're constantly trying to solve these new problems. It's one of the aspects of working in the power industry that keeps it exciting and invigorating.
