What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I'd say I've narrowed it down to three things. The first is seeing the innovation and how quickly we change.
As the technology and software market changes, I've been really impressed by the companies I've worked with. All three of them quickly adapt and roll out new products, meeting customer expectations as those are rapidly changing. Being a part of that innovation has been awesome.
The second is my network. The tech and software industry has a great network, very active on LinkedIn. I've onboarded so many different sales reps throughout my career, and it's something I really enjoy. It's great how many still reach out to me, even after moving to different companies. It feels like a spiderweb effect.
And third, transparently, is pay. The technology industry has great pay rates. I could likely be making half of what I currently make doing a similar onboarding job in a different industry. We also get great upside in stock compensation. So, I would say pay is a big part of that as well.
