What do you enjoy most about being in your current industry?

I would say software development, tech generally. It's relatively laid back. Having been in finance, it was stuffy, and you never felt like you were just yourself at work. You always had that sense of, "I have to act like I'm in finance right now."

I like the laid-back aspect. For the most part, and despite some bad examples, people in tech are treated pretty well. Companies are usually forward-facing, remote, and flexible. They understand the modern situation, unlike my old company, which gave us one casual Friday a month and thought that was a great idea.

I love that it's always evolving and changing. It's at the forefront of AI now, and it's cool to be in this pioneering age of technology. We're building things that could never have been dreamed of before and pushing these tools to their limits. It's just a super exciting time and really cool to be a part of it.
