What skills are important for a job like yours?
Time management is a skill that's important in any job. I think it's especially important here because, coming out of a school environment, you don't really have anyone holding your hand.
You're told what goals people have, but it's up to you to work within those timelines or say that you can't. Collaboration and interpersonal skills are huge because you're working with people every day.
In my job specifically, data analysis is important, as are basic Excel skills. Since this is a tech firm, it's definitely an advantage if you understand different software.
Examples include Salesforce, Snowflake, Tableau, and Amazon Web Services. Project management software like Jira is also relevant. While not a must-have for entry-level positions, it's important to be able to understand them. Basic Microsoft Office skills are also necessary.
