What entry-level positions in this field might an undergraduate college student consider?
This is great, actually. The program I'm in is made for post-grads. My title is associate consultant, but other firms have titles like analyst or associate.
Many companies have developmental programs, and I'd recommend them to new grads. These are usually one or two-year rotational programs where you experience different areas of your role. At the end, people are often offered a promotion in the field they liked most.
I would definitely leverage these programs. They also provide training and guidance, and likely a mentor, which other roles might not offer. The good thing about this industry is there's a lot of support for new grads.
