What is your biggest challenge in your current role?

The biggest challenge, I would say, is any regulation or bureaucratic red tape that needs to be worked through while developing a project. There are so many levers and facets to a project, whether it's finance, construction, entitlements, due diligence, or acquisition.

It's hard enough to tweak these levers, and then you have timing and the overall economic environment of the world working against you. When you add the bureaucratic process, or a process with a lot of rules and regulations, to the mix, it can be difficult.

Sometimes the rules and regulations don't make sense; they get in the way and make things complicated. If certain things could be removed, changed, or tweaked, it would make things easier. We could deliver product faster.

People could enjoy the product that we give or produce sooner. So, that's probably the most challenging part: just working through all of those items to get a project to the finish line.
