What does a day in the life of a university admissions counselor look like?

My day varies from day to day. I have a few admin days, which are days I work from home to ensure I'm in compliance.

On these days, I check my emails, go over events, and handle general administrative tasks. The other three days are typically spent in the field.

I oversee high schools in my territory, giving presentations and attending luncheons and college fairs. This is to educate students about the different colleges and universities available.

Additionally, I conduct many family meetings. These are enjoyable as I meet one-on-one with students and parents. We discuss the steps involved in becoming a student at our university and how to plan a visit.
