What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

Speaking to how I got into sales, particularly in the technology space, I found the most interesting aspect was the large, diverse set of technologies, industries, and customer bases. I was fascinated by the vast possibilities of what I could be involved with.

I really enjoyed learning about different products and how they work. I especially liked getting into the product from a demo perspective, which was a primary focus of my role at the time.

Now, as I've mentioned, diversity, equity, and inclusion are very important to me. This is true on a personal level, but also as a sound business practice, beyond the moral imperative.

I feel proud to partner with innovative companies that have significant global influence. I help them structure inclusive cultures and organizational processes.

Echoing what I've said, I believe this is really important. When considering a role, it's crucial to be excited about the industry. This doesn't mean you'll be reading articles all the time about cybersecurity or any specific field.

Instead, it means you're interested in the personas you'll interact with daily, or you find the field itself interesting. This really impacts how much you'll enjoy your role.
