What is your biggest challenge in your current role?

In my current role, I'm the first person to hold this position. I'm building out many of these processes as I go, which is truly challenging. Building a new function from scratch can be discouraging and at times feel a little isolating.

I'm not on a team with multiple people to collaborate with daily. Therefore, I really have to make a conscious effort to seek out collaboration from my colleagues. I think that's a big aspect of remote culture that can be challenging.

Not having someone there with you day-to-day means you really have to keep yourself accountable. You need to ensure you're managing your time effectively and staying organized. In a remote environment, no one else will do that for you.

Even though I've worked remotely for about four years now, I still find there are many challenges that come with it.
