What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?

Man, that's a lot of lessons. The one lesson I would say is actually kind of ease at the same time. It's not about you.

If someone had told me this since the age of six, when language became more powerfully innate and I understood decision-making choices, I would say it's not about you. You can choose to make it about you, and there's success on the horizon.

But when you live life with a purpose, when there's a greater objective and a greater good, oh my goodness, there's just this quantum energy that I believe exists. It enables you to create phenomenal organizational development within and in terms of your leadership contribution.

It enables you to, for some reason, just gravitate towards better teams, better outcomes, better clients. I think when you really... it's a lesson, when I'm... I guess it's just, it's not about you. It's about there being a greater purpose, a greater sense of commitment to something else.

You can do that just by your way of being. That means you contribute, you volunteer, you get back, you serve. You serve by being a team member who's willing to participate, someone who removes arrogance and righteousness, and is just really here with a sense of humility to make a difference.

I think that's one lesson that for me resonates still today: you are here as part of something greater than you. You are here to make a difference.

If you stand by that purpose, that you're here for a greater mission, I think the promotions, the opportunities, your experience, and the fulfillment of what you do will be more than just money, titles, and power.

So, if I were to leave you guys with anything, I would say, man, make it about something greater than you. And know that you are vital nonetheless. You are a vital component to the success of that greater good.
