What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

In my current role in private equity, I spend a lot of time evaluating new investment opportunities. This often includes understanding a business's operations and its key differentiators.

I also focus on understanding its competitive positioning in the market and its historic and expected financial performance over the next several years. Additionally, I am involved in managing our portfolio of companies in which we are already invested.

This involves monitoring their financial performance and sometimes helping them with acquiring other businesses, when that is relevant to their strategy. More generally, I discuss strategy and growth initiatives with the management team.
