Favorite Parts Of Working In The Federal Government Industry As A Training Director

Rachel's favorite aspect of working at a federal agency is the opportunity to interact with "senior executive service staff, as well as political appointed staff," including visits to headquarters "one block from the White House." The most rewarding element, however, is "serving our nation's veterans."

What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

I think being in this industry, really working for a federal agency, is rewarding on many levels. I get to interact both with senior executive service staff as well as politically appointed staff.

Whenever I go to Washington, D.C., to my headquarters location, which is one block from the White House, one of the things I really enjoy is being in the cradle of our nation's capital. The interactions I can have with senior executive service, my peers, and different politically appointed representatives of our nation's government when those opportunities arise is really fun and very enjoyable.

But again, it kind of goes back hand in hand to what is the best part: serving our nation's veterans.
