What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

As the director and chief curator of the Institute of the Arts and Sciences, which is an arts organization, we have exhibitions, programs, events, education, and programming. All sorts of things happen in this facility, and they are all very interdisciplinary.

These activities are involved in the critical issues of our times, such as incarceration and climate change. My job is to oversee the whole thing. I have staff who handle installations and exhibitions, and they also manage the logistics for events.

In my role, I decide what programs we will be doing. I think about the exhibitions that we are doing and work with others to create programming. Then I oversee all of the operations.
