What does a day in the life of your role look like?
I wouldn't say no two days look the same, but my days look different depending on the type of clients I'm serving. If I'm doing work for nonprofits or social sector actors, I might be working remotely.
If I'm doing work for corporations, it's more likely to be onsite. Typically during the week, for onsite studies, I'll be traveling Monday through Thursday at the client site. This means I'm able to interview client counterparts, whether that's people in the executive suite or people on the ground level, to get insights and perspectives.
Sometimes I'm talking to their customers for insights. I'm gathering the right data from these companies to do analysis and help them understand not only their historicals, but also where things could be forecasted. There are a lot of conversations between experts internally and externally.
I'm talking to some of the experts across different practices or within the area that I'm working in to make sure that I have the most robust thought around recommendations and insights for the client. Then there are obviously the meetings that you have with these clients to share out insights, provide recommendations, and coach them on how they can build their capabilities to sustain things once we leave.
