What skills are most important for a job like yours?
Another reason I love the work I do is that it uses so many different skills, engaging both sides of my brain.
If I had to prioritize one skill for success in this work, it's being a great listener. This means asking thoughtful questions and truly hearing what others are saying.
On top of that, the ability to build relationships and trust is key, both with your own team and with clients. That's incredibly important.
The ability to design strategy for large campaigns is also crucial. Whether it's a $50 million campaign for a healthcare organization creating a new center or a school looking to build a new gym, developing the strategy and plan is essential.
We present work both orally and in writing. Attention to detail is incredibly important, as is communicating ideas effectively, concisely, and in a way that inspires others and clarifies the path forward.
Finally, we use qualitative information alongside quantitative data to inform all of our projects. Balancing these two pieces helps us come up with the strongest recommendations for clients, assisting them in removing obstacles, creating plans, and solving problems.
