What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I'm a partner in a law firm. We're very specialized in franchise law, so we get calls, emails, and texts from people who have bought a franchise and are having a problem.
Some are brand new and want us to review the franchise offering presented to them. This is a document called a Franchise Disclosure Document.
We take in those calls, and with my two partners, we evaluate them and give legal advice. Sometimes we have disputes for them with the franchisor, and we work up a case. We try the cases, or they go to arbitration, and a lot of them settle.
