What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
Hyperspace might be unique because we operate more as a product-led venture firm, unlike traditional firms that have many analysts. My background and experience, both in family offices and here at Hyperspace, suggest that undergraduate business school is a great opportunity if you can pursue it.
The typical positions after that would be an analyst or junior analyst on the venture side. Moving up into an associate role is what I've most commonly seen within Hyperspace.
We look for individuals with strong backgrounds in either computer science or product management from their undergraduate studies. The fields they would enter at Hyperspace are typically technical product manager or business development.
So, it's more product-focused but still involves direct engagement with the clients we invest in. The entry-level positions are primarily analyst and product manager roles.
