What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?

It is possible to have this type of role, this type of life, and this type of impact. I didn't know that was possible in my twenties.

When I was in my thirties, I learned it was possible but didn't know how to achieve it. I just knew it was within reach. So, if I think about what I would have loved to know, it's, A, that it's possible, and B, the steps to make things happen.

I was 41 when I started working for myself in training and development. I'm currently working with a 26-year-old who's asking me a lot of questions. Hopefully, what I can share with him will help him make the choices he needs to make to move forward in his career.
