What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

Ultimately, what we do is help people perform better. When people say, "We really enjoyed your training, really enjoyed your coach, and we learned something different, and it made a difference to me," that's the satisfaction that makes us enjoy doing this.

For me, the environment where I'm most comfortable is in-person, working with people, talking to them, helping them find new ways, and practicing new skills. It's ultimately about driving that moment where people say, "Hey Pete, it was great working with you. You've made a difference to me in this way."

Over and above that, I never saw myself as an entrepreneur, nor did I have a desire to work for myself. I always thought the corporate path would lead me through to retirement.

However, being in my own business for nine years now gives me a belief that, whatever happens in life, including things like COVID, I can back myself. I know I'll be okay and get things done to make stuff happen. I don't think I had that confidence when I was in the corporate world, even ten years ago. That's one of the things I enjoy about the world I operate in now.
