Transcript
What are the main responsibilities, or what did your day in the life look like in your most recent role?
The main responsibility in my job at the World Bank was to examine the economic policies of a government or country. We tried to see whether these policies were conducive to good economic growth and poverty reduction.
We focused on economic policies related to foreign trade and those impacting industrial development. I visited many countries in Africa for this work, including Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Angola, Mozambique, and Malawi.
In all these countries, we assessed the quality of the policies with respect to growth and poverty reduction.
