Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
I might skip over college because it was a little unrelated. Originally, I graduated pre-med and was going to medical school. During that process, I decided not to.
After a while, I kind of fell into sports science and kinesiology. This happened after I tore my ACL playing basketball, but that's a whole other story. Ultimately, it gave me exposure to this space.
I was always passionate about basketball and decided it could be a potential career opportunity. I reached out to local universities, like Cal State Fullerton and Fullerton College, to see if they had any volunteer or internship opportunities.
I decided to get a master's in applied exercise science. Fortunately, I met the right people and got a position at Wake Forest University, working with their men's basketball team. From there, I ended up with the Pacers in Indiana.
Finally, from the Pacers, I landed my most recent role, which is connection.
